Lauren Carter (’09) selected to 18U Ontario Provincial Team By Paul Edwards
July 9, 2009 — Congratulations are in order for CareerCAP Lauren Carter (’09) who, after a grueling 5-day tryout at the OVA 18U High Performance Centre at Humber College in Toronto, was named this week to the 18U Girls Ontario Provincial Team. Lauren, who joins former CAP and current Ottawa Maverick Stephanie Theiler on the team, gets a brief break before returning to the University of Toronto where she will train with the team for a few weeks in preparation for the National Team Challenge Cup (NTCC), which is being held this year at Varsity Arena on the UofT campus, from July 23rd to 26th. The NTCCs are an annual showcase for Provincial teams from across the country.
Congratulations to all our CAPS who put their best foot forward at various tryouts this summer, and best of luck Lauren as you go for the gold in Toronto!
