CareerCAP Tess Edwards (’05) named 2008-09 OUA East Division First-Team All-Star
February 18, 2009 — It has been announced on the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) website that CAPS alum and current University of Ottawa Gee-Gee Tess Edwards (’05) has been named to the OUA East Division First Team of All-Stars. During this regular season, Tess remained one of the leaders amongst Canadian setters in points scored per game (2.59/game), service aces (62), kills per game (0.98) and blocks per game (0.62).*
Tess played for two seasons in the NCAA with the University of Kentucky Wildcats before returning to Canada for 3 seasons of eligibility in the CIS/OUA. Edwards and the Gee-Gees were eliminated from OUA playoff action this past weekend with a loss to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
