January 25, 2009 — In OVA action over the weekend, Stephanie McGuinty (’07) of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees had 5
kills and 3 digs to help her team defeat Ryerson in straight sets.
Laura Ledas (’07) of Waterloo helped the Warriors defeat McMaster & Guelph, registering 4 kills, 2 block solos, 3 block assists and 4 digs in the McMaster match and 3 kills, 5 digs, 4 block solos in the Guelph game. Teammate Katie Spack (’07) registered 4 digs and 6 digs respectively.
Sarah Fetterly (’07) and Becky Billings (’08) the Queens University Golden Gaels tallied 17 digs & 5 digs respectively in a 4 set loss to undefeated York. Those same York Lions then defeated RMC in a 3 set match where Gina Morphy (’08) had 25 assists and 2 digs, while teammate Chantelle L’Heureux (’07) contributed 7 digs. In the same game, on the RMC side, Melissa McCoy (’08) had 7 kills, 5 digs and 1 block solo.
