January 19th, 2009 — It has been announced on the OVA website that two members of the NCVC family have been nominated for Ontario ‘Cards’ under the 2008-2009 Quest for Gold Ontario Athlete Assistance Program (OAAP).  The Quest for Gold Program was established to provide additional support to athletes from Ontario and to increase the performance and number of Ontario athletes competing at the highest national and international levels, thereby contributing to the improved performance of Canada at international competitions.

Current 18U CAP Rebecca Crosier has been recognized for her stellar work on the beach in 2008.  Rebecca was Queen of the Beach at Ontario Summer Games in Ottawa.  More recently, she was invited to Canadian National Beach Team tryouts in December.

CareerCAP Tess Edwards (’05) is a 5-time Canadian National Indoor Volleyball Team tryouts invitee, was a member of the CAPS’ 2005 18U Girls Provincial Championship team, and was the recipient of the 2005 OVA Evelyn Holick Award.  Tess is currently in her first season with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

Congratulations ladies!
