January 11, 2009 — York University Lions were led in the third set of a 3-0 victory over the Lakehead Thunderwolves by Gina Morphy (’08), who had 19 assists, helping the Lions continue their undefeated winning streak on the season.
In Ottawa, Gee-Gees setter Tess Edwards (’05) tallied 45 assists, 9 digs and 8 kills in a 3-1 win over Ryerson on Saturday, and was named Gee-Gees Player of The Game after scoring 10 points in Ottawa’s 3 set win over traditional rivals, the UofT Varsity Blues on Sunday.
Sarah Fetterly (’07) registered 17 digs in the Queen’s Golden Gaels 5-set loss to the Guelph Griffons on Sunday.
