December 17, 2008 — The 5th Anniversary CAPS Alumni Night 2008 went off without a hitch on Wednesday evening in the gym at St. Pius X. Laura Carmanico (’07/University of Ottawa), Cate Eckhardt (’05/Albany Great Danes), Emily Kyte (’08/McGill Martlets), Geneviève Lemay (’08/Les Aigles Bleues de Moncton), Melissa McCoy (’08/RMC Paladins), Kalyn Mostert (’08/Albany Great Danes), Haley Wolfenden (’08/Ryerson Rams), Jessica Wolfenden (’05/Maine Black Bears), and Jessica Zéroual (’07/James Madison Dukes) all took the opportunity to come out for a 4 hour evening of reunions, positional group sessions, scrimmages and an informative information session where our grads gave their impressions of life after club, and how to best prepare for the university experience. Judging by the looks on everyone’s faces throughout the evening, it seems that all our past and present CAPS in attendance had a great time during this annual gathering of our amazing Alumni.
Thanks to all the girls who made the effort to rush off planes and trains to make it back in time for the event. Thanks to Tess Edwards (’05 – uOttawa Gee-Gees) for doing her best to make it here after writing a late exam! Thanks especially to the McCoys for making the supreme effort to get Melissa here all the way from Kingston! We are always so happy to see the McCoys at Pius. Thanks very much as well to Cathy O’Doherty and Mary Clare Carter for organizing this great event. Finally, thanks to all who came out to help us celebrate our CareerCAPS!
