Tess Edwards (05) hit .310 with 35 assists and 4 service aces to help the uOttawa Gee-Gees defeat the Guelph Gryphons in Guelph. Claudia Séguin (07) tallied 17 digs in the 5-set affair, which kept the Gee-Gees comfortably on top in the OUA Eastern division.
McGill freshman Emily Kyte (08) was busy in Quebec over the weekend helping the Martlets defeat Sherbrooke with 5 kills and 16 digs.
Across the border in NCAA action, the uAlbany Great Danes captured the regular-season title and earned hosting rights for the conference's postseason tournament with the help of CareerCAP Cate Eckhardt (06), who finished with 10 kills and nine digs and Kalyn Mostert (08) who hit .500 on eight kills while also accumulating five blocks.
Katee Luecke (07) helped her team, the Towson Tigers, clinch a spot in the upcoming CAA Tournament by notching 40 assists and seven digs in their 5 set loss to Northeastern.
The University of Maine volleyball team will participate in the America East playoffs for the first time since 2005 thanks to a victory over the weekend against Stoney Creek. Jessica Wolfenden (05) provided the Black Bear attackers with great passes as she picked up 37 assists, seven digs and three block assists.
