Rebecca Crosier invited to Beach National Team Selection Camp(PHOTOS) By Paul Edwards
October 24, 2008 — The 18U CAPS’ Rebecca Crosier is one heck of a player in the gym, but it is her prowess on the beach which is taking her to potentially stratospheric levels on the Canadian volleyball scene.
Rebecca recently got the news that she has been invited by Volleyball Canada to participate in the upcoming Beach National Team Selection Camp that will be held December 5th – 7th, 2008 at Beach Blast in Toronto. Volleyball Canada has invited only 23 athletes to compete for a mere 12-16 spots on the National Team. Considering that Rebecca will be one of the few teenagers – and certainly the only 17 year old – competing for a spot against the very best beach volleyball players that Canada has to offer the world, the invite alone is an incredible honour!
Should Rebecca be selected to the National Team after the camp, she will spend the summer with the Beach National Team exclusively, in preparation for their full slate of international events. Once again we find ourselves wishing Rebecca all the best of luck this December as she chases her National Team dream!
