Great turnout for 5th Anniversary squads at weekend tryouts(PHOTOS) By Paul Edwards
September 7, 2008 — Year 5 started off with a bang for the National Capitals Volleyball Club over the weekend as the St. Pius gym played host to four 3-hour sessions of tryouts for this year’s 5th Anniversary group of teams. There is always an abundance of nerves and pent-up energy on display as the girls put their best foot forward, but this year also demonstrated how the sport is growing in participation and popularity. A great turnout of enthusiastic players were introduced to some veteran and some new members of the CAPS coaching staff who put the girls through their paces.
Congratulations to all the girls on the strong efforts they put forward at tryouts this year! Final rosters for all teams will be posted on the CAPS website towards the end of next week.
