June 27, 2007 -  As I was applying for university on-line, I had several in mind, but the University of Waterloo wasn't one of them.  I didn't know much about the school so I never really thought I would end up there.  Luckily my mother was with me and told me to add it anyways, just in case.  I heard back quite early with acceptances from most of my universities of choice, but not Waterloo.

Several weeks later, I met the Waterloo coach, Gaby Jobst, at a volleyball tournament and heard that she had some interest in me.  I didn't think much of it at the time, but kept it in mind.  Later on, the coach met me at another tournament and we started talking.  I saw how great of a person she was, not only through volleyball, but as an individual.  We began a relationship of daily e-mails which turned my focus towards Waterloo.

I visited the school twice and loved it even more each time I went.  My meeting with some of the girls on the team was a great experience and a real eye-opener.  They were so thankful to be on this team, played extremely well together, and shared a common love for their coaches.  With this I was hooked.  I accepted my position on the team and am ecstatic to begin playing with them in the coming years.  Warriors, thanks fo everything and see you soon!
