November 6, 2005 -  Congratulations to Sandra Emmerson of Nepean.  She was the winner of a $50 Sobey's Gift Basket!  The draw was part of the first of the 14U fundraisers for our 2005-2006 season.  The girls spent the entire weekend at Sobey's on Greenbank in Barrhaven.  Their first fundraiser was a huge success - a great opportunity for these young volleyball girls to spend some time together, off the court.  Funds raised will be going towards the girls' trip to the 14U Nationals in Moncton, New Brunswick in May of 2006.

Special thanks to Janet Bullbrook, for coordinating the event, as well as Dana Conley, owner of Sobey's, for donating the beautiful basket.  Thanks to all of the girls, who worked so hard over the weekend.  Extra thanks to Erika Hart, Jamie Bullbrook, and Kristen Ritchie for taking on extra shifts to fill the time slots.  Erika Hart showed she has another talent besides fundraising - she wins the award for top salesperson of the weekend!
