October 2 -  The 15U Girls team got a head start on team fundraising this past weekend with an apple picking fundraiser at Mountain Orchards in Mountain, south of Ottawa.  The girls picked approximately 250 bags of apples for sale later in the day in their local neighbourhoods.  The weather cooperated - perhaps a bit too much - as it was a very warm day to go door-to-door.  But their hard work paid off with a bushel of funds which can now be put towards extra tournaments throughout the season.  Many thanks to all the girls who worked so hard in the hot October sun, to the parents (who all worked equally hard), and to Mary Clare Carter for organizing this sweet event.
