10 CAPS named to 16U Regional Team
By Deborah Carmanico

10 National Capitals players competed for and earned spots on this year's 2005 16U Regional Team at tryouts held in April and May.  We extend congratulations to the 16U Girls team's Burcu Baltas, Laura Carmanico, Chantelle L'Heureux, Stephanie McGuinty, Erin O'Doherty, Pascale Robichaud, Claudia Seguin and Jessica Zeroual, and to Emily Kyte and Haley Wolfenden from the 15U Girls team.

The 14 athletes selected (10 roster players and 4 practice players) will workout together in Ottawa and Kingston before heading to train at the Regional Team Training Centre at the University of Waterloo from August 9th to 11th, after which they will compete against teams from the other five Ontario Regions during the Ontario Regional Games from August 12th to 14th in Waterloo.  The Region 6 girls team's Head Coach will be Matt Harris and the Assistant Coach will be Everton Senior, both from the Capitals.

The Province of Ontario is divided into six Regions by the OVA and the City of Ottawa is located in Region 6, which extends from Deep River to Kingston and east to the Quebec border, including Brockville and Cornwall.

GO CAPS GO!
