Caps well represented at 2004 Ontario Summer Games

A total of eight National Capital Volleyball Club players will be participating in the 2004 Ontario Summer Games in London in August.

Last February, six 18U players were selected to represent Region 6 (Eastern Ontario) at the Games. Setters Ashley Matier and Tess Edwards, power hitters Becky Lauks and Meghan O'Doherty, and middle hitters Jessica Wolfenden and Kate Eckhardt will all be training at Fanshawe College from August 16-18. The competition begins on August 19th and continues until the 22nd. This is a wonderful opportunity to train with and compete against the top elite players in the province.

Erin O'Doherty and Claudia Seguin will be participating in the Beach Volleyball competition, which takes place from August 19-22. The Beach Volleyball component is for players 16 years of age and under. Erin and Claudia, who are also representing Region 6, will be commuting daily to Grand Bend on Lake Huron to play in the 2's tournament.
